Mouthwash recalled due to bacteria concerns - July 14, 2011 The maker of two brands of mouthwash is recalling the product amid concerns that those with weakened immune systems who use the products could become severely ill. Procter & Gamble voluntarily recalled Oral-B Anti-Cavity Dental Rinse — Alcohol Free with product number 02129930, and Oral-B Anti-Bacterial with Fluoride — Alcohol Free Daily Use Mouthrinse with product number 02130823. The products are being recalled due to possible microbial contamination. Procter & Gamble said the microbial levels shouldn't pose a risk to healthy people. However, people with severely weakened immune systems, such as those with cystic fibrosis, may become ill from using the affected products. The company has asked retailers to pull the product from shelves immediately and is telling customers to discard the affected product they've purchased.
